How To Find Your Confidence

DO YOU WISH YOU COULD WAKE UP WITH CONFIDENCE EVERYDAY?! WELL, THEN KEEP READING!

 
1. First, knowing that confidence is just a feeling. We have to learn how to believe in this feeling. So let’s start with figuring out our WHY. Now, what do I mean by that? Your WHY is a statement that feels so powerful and strong to you that whatever comes your way in terms of roadblocks, you go back to this statement, basically like an affirmation! For example, my WHY is that I will continue to show up even when it’s hard because if I can inspire just one woman then I know I am making a difference.

 

2. How do you find your WHY? Start with these journal prompts first:

What motivates you? What are your passions? What will drive you to get up in the morning? What do you want your purpose to be if there was no limit? What would be your ten dreams right now?

I don’t want you to overthink these questions. Write as if there were NO LIMITS to money, time, judgement, family, friends, you get the point. Now, if you’re like, Francesca there is no way I can journal, nothing ever comes to mind. I want you to set a timer for ten minutes. Do not move from your pen or paper for ten minutes and allow yourself to just sit there and see what comes to mind. Normally, for the first few minutes we can think of something and then three minutes goes by and we draw a blank. We are just hitting the surface and we know nothing comes from the surface level. So, by allowing yourself to sit there for a certain amount of time, more will come up for you the more you do this exercise!

3. Okay, so now that you have your WHY, you need great HABITS!

Habits are beliefs and patterns that we have learned over time and just as quickly as we have learned them we have the ability to un-learn as well. SO DON’T PANIC! We all have some “bad habits” but, we have the power to change that. When it comes to your habits, I want you to make a list of what you think is no longer serving you. How are you spending your day? Are you scrolling social media too much? Are you getting takeout more than you should? Are you going to bed too late? What does not serve you? Now, the way we start to build better habits is starting small. There is no point in trying to change 20 habits all at once because you will get burnt out and defeated. So start with something that really bugs you, something that you wish was different right away. What you start to do, is take the habit and add it to one that is already great. For instance, let’s say you are trying to workout consistently everyday, here is what I would do: every night before bed I would lay out my workout clothes right next to my bed. You wake up every morning and right as you get out of bed you throw on your workout clothes! I know if I have a cute outift on, I feel more motivated.

4. There is POWER in ROUTINE! As you start to change your routine you will see a difference in your mood and you will in fact prove to yourself that you can change your habits. As you start to feel better about who you are becoming, your confidence will naturally start to evolve. You need to show yourself that you are capable of changing that MINDSET! 

So, one more exercise for you! When we have or say negative things to ourself, it of course does not make us feel good. AM I RIGHT?! For every limiting belief you have, I want you to write an empowering one. For example, if you say I do not love my body, try saying my body does amazing things for me. My body allows me to walk, write, eat, sleep, explore and see the world. You get the point! We want to feed our mind with positivity above all else.
